The Organizational Communication and Information Systems (OCIS) division within the Academy of Management promotes academic engagement among scholars and practitioners with an interest in the behavioral, economic, and social aspects of communication and information systems. OCIS supports the general objectives of the Academy of Management by providing an outlet to share research and collaborate with others on research topics that have direct impacts on modern organizations.
This blog was created and is maintained by PhD student members of the OCIS division. With over 200 current student members,OCIS provides a unique opportunity for students to network, collaborate, and share experiences with one another. Our primary goals for this student website are:
- To share previous experiences and advice for success as a doctoral student
- To disseminate information that is pertinent to current students
- To foster a community of student peers that supports networking and collaboration
- To promote international involvement in OCIS/AOM
To accomplish these goals,we will periodically update this blog with new and interesting material. If you have any comments or suggestions for how we can make this community better, please let us know!
